By reading Helene Dobrowolsky's book Law of the Yukon, I have gained an even greater understanding and appreciation for the hardships that our fellow Canadians endured in the late 19th century. I am also reminded that the values and work ethic of that era are what is needed to help us succeed in the future. The special bond that was developed between the members of the Mounted Police and the people of the Yukon actually helped establish one of Canada's northern territories. óBob Paulson, Commissioner Royal Canadian Mounted Police
