Jeanette Taylor started her career in history transcribing taped interviews in the BC Archives. For nearly twenty years she was on the curatorial staff for the Museum at Campbell River. Currently Taylor is the executive director of the Campbell River Art Gallery. Her passions for history, art and coastal life are evident in her books, River City: A History of Campbell River and the Discovery Islands and Exploring Quadra Island: Heritage Sites and Hiking Trails. Taylor is a resident of Quadra Island and leads heritage site tours of the Discovery Islands by boat, kayak and bus.
