Karen Rempel has been beading since the age of ten. She was born in Vancouver, BC and received her bachelor's degree from Simon Fraser University. She has published fiction, poetry, feature articles and reviews in publications including The Vancouver Sun, Herspectives, Discorder, and BC Woman Magazine. Karen currently works as a technical writer and lives in New Westminster, BC.
