In the small community of Boswell, BC, Luanne Armstrong farms land shared with her parents and siblings. She has worked as a feminist researcher, a freelance journalist and a writing instructor. Her numerous books include the award-winning novel Annie (1995), Bordering (1995), Arly and Spike (1997), The Colour of Water (1998), Jeannie and the Gentle Giants (2001) and The Bone House (2003). Luanne is also managing editor of Blue Lake Books, a children’s book publisher.
