Feast for all literary tastes
You have read their books, now sample their recipes. The Great Canadian Literary Cookbook is published in honour of the 10th anniversary of Sechcelt's Festival of the Written Arts. There are over 100 recipes from 58 participants in past festivals, from Carol Shield's lemon dessert and Pierre Berton's clam chowder to Robin Skelton's contribution - no gourmet there! However, since Susan Mendelson and Umberto Menghi are also participants, gourmet is taken care of.

Also included in this collection are some of the festival's bulk recipes - barbecued spareribs for 240. As varied as the cooks are, there's something here for any taste.
