Harbour Publishing Hits Word on the Street in Vancouver

September 19, 2006

Join Harbour Publishing at The Word On the Street in Vancouver on Sunday, September 24. This annual street fair to support literacy takes place at Library Square (Georgia St at Homer St) in downtown Vancouver from 11am to 6pm.

Come check out the Harbour booth at tent T3 on Homer St: browse some great books at great prices, enter to win titles from award-winning authors, and meet our friendly staff! And don’t miss Harbour authors Arthur Black and Rafe Mair at the Authors’ Tent, as part of the Big Personalities presentation. From 11am to 12pm Arthur will be reading highlights from his up-coming compilation Black Gold: Nuggets from a Lifetime of Laughs and Rafe will give a taste of what’s to come in his new release Over the Mountains: More Thoughts on Things that Matter.

Also, don’t miss Nightwood Editions authors Elizabeth Bachinsky (Home of Sudden Service), Amanda Lamarche (The Clicheist), and Fiona Tinwei Lam (Intimate Distances). Elizabeth and Amanda will be performing on the main stage in Geist Magazine’s Haiku Night in Canada at 2:20pm. Fiona will be at the Poets’ Tent reading poetry from Prism international at 11am.

Can’t wait to see you there!
