Chainsaws: A History at the Sunshine Coast Festival of the Written Arts

June 15, 2007

David Lee and Mike Acres put the loud, bloody and revolutionary past of the chainsaw on the table at the 25th Annual Sunshine Coast Festival of the Written Arts. A discussion moderated by CBC Radio’s Mark Forsythe will reveal interesting facts on the “Timberhog” and explanations of what Marilyn Monroe was doing to the parts of a chainsaw. Chainsaw enthusiasts cannot miss the one-of-a-kind display of antique chainsaws which will accompany the creators of Chainsaws: A History. Tickets are $15.00 and can be purchased by phone at 1-800-565-9631 or in person at the Festival office at 5511 Shorncliffe Avenue, Sechelt, BC. All this racket is happening on Saturday, August 11, 2007 at 10:30 am, so don’t miss it!
