Arthur Black's Cross-Canada Tour

Posted: October 4, 2007

This fall Arthur Black, “Canada’s funniest man,” can be found in Canada’s funniest club, Yuk Yuks, on a sit-down comedy tour. A three-time winner of The Stephen Leacock Memorial Medal for Humour, Canada’s top award for humour, Black is back at it again with his latest sidesplitting collection of tales, Black to the Grindstone. In his latest collection, Canada's most loved jokester masterfully captures the laughter that often bursts out of the seams of everyday life.

Catch Arthur in the following locations across Canada this fall:

· OTTAWA, ONTARIO: Yuk Yuks Ottawa, Capital Hill Hotel
88 Albert Street, Thursday October 25, at 6pm
· VANCOUVER, BC: Century Plaza Hotel 1015 Burrard Street, Tuesday October 30, at 6pm

Why feature an author, even a renowned humourist such as Arthur Black, at the largest comedy club chain in North America? Maybe this “marriage” is not such a strange pairing seeing as Yuk Yuks founder Mark Breslin has an impressive literary background, and is the author of several books including the best-selling Control Freaked, as well as the Post City Magazines’ humour columnist. Together, Yuk Yuks and Harbour Publishing will bring the written word to comedy fans across Canada and introduce Arthur to a new generation.

On October 26, Arthur Black will also be doing a fundraiser to promote literacy in Sarnia, Ontario with the Book Keeper and the Organization for Literacy Lambton at the Sarnia Library Auditorium (124 S. Christina Street) at 7:30pm.
