Janet Love Morrison Presents The Crazy Canucks at Sun Peaks

Janet Love Morrison will be signing copies of her new book, The Crazy Canucks: Canada's Legendary Ski Team at Tree Line Studios (#3, 3204 Village Way), at Sun Peaks Resort on Saturday, April 4th at 4:00pm. The event will happen during the Canadian National Skiing Championships. In The Crazy Canucks, Janet Love Morrison chronicles the grit and perseverance of the group of young skiiers who in the 1970s took the European ski racing circuit by storm. At first they were regarded as a bit of a joke as they travelled in a rusty old Volkswagen and showed little regard for the niceties of European alpine traditions. But when the Canadian boys began appearing on World Cup podiums with increasing regularity, it didn't take long for journalists to start calling them the "Kamikaze Canadians." The name that stuck was the "Crazy Canucks."
