A Historic Book Tour with Marie Elliott

Author Marie Elliott will embark on a tour with her new book Fort St. James and New Caledonia that will closely follow the trade routes used by Simon Fraser and the early Canadian fur traders. Instead of a trap and gun, Marie will travel with a computer and projector to display her slideshow presentation of rare archival photos found in her book. Marie’s Fort St. James and New Caledonia book tour will visit the following locations:

Fort St. James National Historic Site: launch and slideshow in the Visitor’s Centre, Sunday, July 5th from noon to 2:00 pm
Vanderhoof Community Museum: slideshow presentation in the Old Royal Bank, Monday, July 6th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm
Prince George Library downtown: slideshow presentation, Tuesday, July 7th from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm (books sold by Books & Company)
Barkerville Historic Town: signings and slideshow presentation at the following locations on Wednesday, July 8th:
Signing at the Friends of Barkerville from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm
Signing at Eldorado from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm
Slideshow presentation in the Visitor’s Centre from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm
Quesnel City Hall: slideshow presentation as part of the Quesnel & District Museum & Archives Heritage Speaker Series, Thursday, July 9th from  7:00 pm to 9:00 pm
Open Book: signing in Williams Lake, Saturday, July 11th from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm
Storytime Books: slideshow presentation in 100 Mile House, Sunday, July 12th from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm
