Picture Perfect Parks and Nature Places Around Vancouver: Slideshow at the VPL

June 19, 2009

Get a visual tour of the Lower Mainland’s expanse of parks and nature places during a slideshow presentation of Nature Vancouver’s new book Parks and Nature Places Around Vancouver at the Vancouver Public Library on Monday, June 29th at 7:00 pm. Editor Alison Parkinson and plant expert Terry Taylor, along with bird expert and previous Nature Vancouver President Adrian Grant Duff, will host the slideshow and sign copies of Parks and Nature Places Around Vancouver for interested guests. Meet these local nature-lovers in the Alma VanDusen/Peter Kaye room on the lower level of the central library, located at 350 West Georgia Street.

Parks and Nature Places Around Vancouver is a unique guidebook spotlighting the wealth of natural havens nestled all around the Lower Mainland, from North Vancouver to Langley. Contributions from over 40 local naturalists invite park-goers to spot the elusive and veiled flora and fauna of each park, and public transportation routes to all 61 locations encourage eco-friendly park excursions.
