Congratulations to the talented authors longlisted for the ReLit Awards!
Philip Kevin Paul’s Little Hunger (Nightwood) is nominated in the poetry category; Betsy Trumpener’s The Butcher of Penetang (Caitlin) is nominated for short fiction; and John Stiles’ Taking the Stairs (Nightwood) is nominated as a novel.
The ReLit Awards (Ideas, Not Money) were founded by Kenneth J. Harvey in 2000 as an alternative to the big-money prizes. The awards are open to books published by independent Canadian literary publishers. ReLit is short for Regarding Literature, Reinventing Literature, Relighting Literature...
