Thursday, April 15, 2010

Phillipa Hudson will sign copies of her new booklet, A Field Guide to Coastal Flowers of the Pacific Northwest, at Tanner's Books (2436 Beacon Avenue) on Saturday, April 17th from 1-4pm.

With gorgeous full-colour photos arranged in an easy-to-use colour coded chart for quick identification, A Field Guide to Coastal Flowers of the Pacific Northwest is perfect for taking along on walks and hikes through both the Pacific Northwest countryside as well as the urban wilds of West Coast cities.

This handy the pocket-sized guide supplies English and Latin names, along with the distribution range of each species and average plant height and flower size.

Phillipa Hudson has been an enthusiastic and active amateur botanist for over 30 years. She lives on Vancouver Island with her husband where they enjoy hiking, biking and kayaking as often as possible.
