Gardener Carolyn Herriot Visits Vancouver

May 26, 2010

Carolyn Herriot will be doing a talk and book signing on Thursday, June 24 at 5:00 pm at Barbara-Jo’s Books to Cooks (1740 West 2nd Avenue). Tickets will be $40, this includes refreshments and a signed copy of Carolyn’s new book, The Zero-Mile Diet: A Year-Round Guide to Growing Organic Food ($32.95). For more information or to purchase tickets, please call Barbara-Jo's Books to Cooks at 604-688-6755.

The Zero-Mile Diet follows a year of sustainable homegrown food production, growing healthy organic food, eating seasonal recipes from the garden, saving seeds for future harvests and putting food by for the winter. Growing a “Zero-Mile Diet” is a fun way to increase regional food security while cooling down the planet.
