Even Toronto Wants to Fish with Gubby!
November 22, 2010
Click here to see the Toronto Star's review of Fishing with Gubby, a children's book illustrated in graphic novel style about one season in the life of a west coast salmon fisherman, written by Gary Kent and Kim La Fave, illustrated by Kim La Fave.
Looks like even Torontonians find something to charm them in this BC Bestseller. A quote from the article:
"Docks, harbours, a remote cabin inhabited by a solitary hunter — even the names of the boats: Klemtu Girl, Prosperity, Miss Judy — offer the best sort of fictional non-fiction about this aspect of coastal culture in B.C. A thoroughly charming work."
