Canada Should Read Forage

Posted: April 7, 2011

Rita Wong’s collection Forage has been selected as one of the five contenders in a new online event from CBC Books and the National Post: Canada Reads Poetry. In a format similar to that of the original Canada Reads, each collection will be defended by a panelist (Forage will be defended by poet Sonnet L’Abbé) and at the end of the three-week period in which the books are examined, an online public vote will decide on the champion title.

Apart from being completely devoted to poetry, Canada Reads Poetry also differs from Canada Reads by taking place entirely online.
