Forage Wins Canada Reads Poetry
April 30, 2011
Congratulations to Nightwood Editions poet Rita Wong, whose book, forage, won the Canada Reads Poetry competition, an online initiative co-hosted by CBC Books and The National Post. Canada Reads Poetry is a new event based on the original Canada Reads format, but taking place entirely online. After three weeks of reading defenses from the panelists and author questionnaires, culminating in an online debate, forage was selected as winner by a public, online vote.
Many thanks to Sonnet L’Abbé for her brilliant work defending forage!
